Why are some people so obsessed with brands?
Why is this world so obsessed with brands?
Our Life style
The answer of this question is that, " Some people think or they are convinced that the branded items are of a very good quality", .
the customers think that the branded items are made with a very good quality and branded items such as clothes are of a good quality, they are made by using good quality raw materials, and often they are from the companies who use GMP i.e. good manufacturing practices, or they do not promote child labor or forced labor in the manufacturing units, and they are using environment friendly raw materials and using sustainable forestry goods and their carbon foot print is low and they give money for charity etc etc.
But actually the common people do not know that actually the big brand companies are fooling them, and exploiting their psychology.
the branded items are of a good quality no doubt, but they are still not worth for the huge money we pay for them.
some people are so simple minded that they think that the branded items are really the final best, therefore such people also becomes easy prey to the you tubbers who post a new video every next day with new recepies for food items or health tips or any such thing to which they call quick fix or life hacks, free energy and many types of other fakery.
These simpleton people becomes very easily their prey, they have an inferiority complex deep hidden in the depths of their souls.
This inferiority complex of their psychology drives their perception and so they think that the branded items are best in all terms.
The reality is that, all other items from other non familiar brands which offer good quality with guarantee and warranty are actually better than most of the famous brands.
The other unfamiliar brand items can be more cheaper, and can be of a good quality material and they can be worth to spend on them for our hard earned money,
The Big and famous brands sell their items very expensive and in very high cost, the items can be 10 times more costlier than actual value.
The other non familiar branded items can be 10 times less in price and equally good in quality, the big famous brand companies make huge profits and the owners are billionaire, and the big brand companies sell the very same items in huge discounts of 70 % to 75 % once the markets becomes uncertain or due to high competition in the market or due to loss of the fashion trend.
Therefore please do not be prey to the famous brands and their items, nor fall prey to the YouTube recepies and vloggers, always think and purchase which is benefiting to yourself and not to the owner of the big brand, the big brand owner will not give you once you need the money or in your bad times.
Simple minded peoples becomes easy prey for the youtubers who post short videos of food and health related tips and tricks all such stuff is 80% useless most of the time.
I am not telling that all the stuff on youtube is useless, there are good and valuable stuff also, but we need good intellect to detect that, simple minded people can't afford that.
Now I want to present here the opinion of a very nice purchaser who works and earns money but do not want to become victim of big brands.

Today I went to one of the popular shopping hubs [Non branded] in Sharjah, with one good friend. Since I shopped with my first official salary, I was really excited and spent wholeheartedly, I would have never done with my parents' money. Out of my exhilaration after shopping, I said, "Its good that I withdrew only DHs.2,700 Dirhams. to splurge because had I withdrawn more money I would have spent it entirely, repenting the expenses later". My friend replied,"huh, it doesn't matter to me since I am used to spend around Dhs. 10,000 in a single visit to malls". I remained quiet and went into contemplation mode, thinking if it is worth spending so much on trivial things.
The elementary necessity of clothes is to cover our body but in today's world, we have to look presentable too, which I too feel, is necessary. Now my dilemma is, if we are getting good stuff at a lower price, why do we chase brands and why we cannot accept people wearing non branded things, even if they look actually good in non branded products. I think that by buying from local shops, we can help small businessmen, and people working as assistants in those shops, earn. This would help in a somewhat uniform distribution of income in our country
Moreover, by purchasing from malls, we are only making rich owners of the malls richer, who distribute a very small portion of the revenues among their staffs.
If we are getting same thing at non branded shops, why are we so enslaved by brands to throw money, just to help rich become richer?
Why this world is so mad about brands?
What extra psychological gratification do girls achieve in getting tops from a showroom of ZARA even if it is totally possible to get its replica at lower price from a reputed non branded shop?
In a county like Bangladesh, where too many people die out of hunger, is it justifiable for people to go for such actions?
This is just my opinion and I don't intend to comment on anybody's lifestyle but I would appreciate others' views on this topic so that I can expand my arena of thoughts.
Brands are symbols of prosperity in capitalist terms. It shows you are from a part of society which is economically better off than others. Regarding quality, many products which have nothing to do with quality are still marketed in the names of brands, so it is not always quality. Also many brand sell quality product only beyond a certain price the products below that price are more worse than normal.
It also targets the inferiority complex of people. If my neighbors wear addidas then I am interior if I wear a local brand. Mostly people have this mentality. So it is about your economic status and your inferiority complex if you lack the real qualities and want to compensate the lack of quality with brands to show your personality.

Our Life style and our habits and the commercial organizations who want to sell their products in a society full of competitions are responsible for the damage of our environment and the commercial organizations are responsible for making us more and more fashion conscious and thus they are responsible for making us more arrogant, waste generators and morally corrupt.

For Muslims, when the poverty comes to muslims they becomes more religious and as soon as wealth comes to them they becomes non religious or even atheists, even though their religion is the cleanest and most civilized and most logical in the world.
The Non Muslim becomes less religious when he is poor, when there comes poverty to the non muslims, they becomes non religious or even irreligious or atheists.
The reasons for this phenomena
The non muslims who were poor and when they became wealthy, They assumes that the wealth is the mercy of their gods, they blindly follow their religion even after knowing that it is filthy but they think that this prosperity and wealth is the mercy of their gods.
When the non muslims becomes poor, they gets more time to study their religion deeply and therefore they realize the fact that their religion is garbage and rubbish, and hence they becomes irreligious and atheists, by knowing the reality of the religion.
But when the wealth comes to the non muslims, the wealth comes with more activity and less time, and less exposure to the religion, this less time does not permit deep study of the religions, and the wealthier peoples end up believing in superficial and simplified doctrines and hence the wealthier non muslims credits their wealth and prosperity to the mercy of their many gods and becomes more religious.
The Muslims, on the other hand, The muslims who becomes poorer, has nothing to do other than becoming more religious, as the religion gives them hopes and solace and assurance in the later life. The poverty gives them more time and less activities to do in life.
The poverty allows muslims more exposure and time to study Islam and the poor muslims becomes convinced by the nobility and truth of the religion of Islam.
But those muslims who becomes wealthier, thinks that this wealth and prosperity is the result of our hard work and earnings and there is no part of the god in it.
The wealth brings more activities and less time along with it, as the Muslims becomes wealthier, his activities increases and he finds less time to study Islam, therefore he goes away from the real teachings of the religion and finds the Daily 5 times prayers annoying and interfering in his business activities.
As the wealth and prosperity brings more activities and business along with increased wealth and more business allows less time for studying Islam, and thinking about it's details.
Then the God punishes the Muslims in this world and keeps the non muslims in normal conditions to test all humans.
The separation from an evil religion makes the non muslims good persons and more exposure to the evil religions makes them irreligious and atheists..
Contrary to this the exposure to a noble religion makes the Muslims more religious and more pious and separation from the noble religion makes them less religious and atheists.
We humans are living on earth just like some bacteria living
on an apple hanging on a tree, one day the bacteria will totally consume the
apple completely and the apple will vanish decomposed and decayed and the
bacteria will find another apple or another thing to eat and consume, but we
humans will not find another place in the cosmos to consume just like those
fortunate bacteria.
Everyday we use hundreds of tones of metals, iron, copper,
aluminum, potassium, magnesium and many more, we are using iron nails, pins,
rods, sheets, stapler pins, shipping container locks and all these items
vanishes in the earth crust daily, we cannot recover them back as we can
extract iron from iron ores, as the iron ores are concentrated bulks located in
the earth at reachable places, but our consumed iron items are evenly
distributed in the soil and difficult and uneconomical to reclaim, this is same
for other metals we consume daily in hundreds of tones.
We consume papers, wood and all other minerals, plastics and
chemicals and elements in such a great speed that the day is very near when we
will face unavailability of these things, as these things are not renewable,
these things are one time products, these things are vanishing with a fatal
pace.
We humans are no doubt precious because we found the use of
all these things, we are using aluminum foil for our food covering, we use it
to cover our coffee cup, we use it and throw it in the dust bin because these
things are cheap and we can afford to expend on these items.
We have to change our lifestyle; this earth is not going to
be forever supplying us these materials, one day all these things will be in museums.
If some thing is cheap so it is not meant to be exploited in
a style of enemy, these things are cheap because we humans have decided their
prices, these things are not cheap, these things are precious, the earth is not
going to produce them once again.
All good things are for the peoples who are smart and
intelligent, this is the law of nature, this nature has selected and evolved us
from other living things because we humans were better than other animals in
terms of our body structure, our movements and in intelligence and brain, but
this does not mean that all human have got right to destroy the nature.
As we humans are better among all other animals in the same
way few of us are better among us too, so we humans are not equally qualified
to consume and destroy the nature, the best among us in terms of intelligence
and brains are qualified.
Our human population on the earth has increased dangerously
to pose a problem of consuming the earth in a very short time from now, we are
just like bacteria riding on an apple and consuming it, just imagine how many
days the apples takes before the bacteria consumes it.
If we want to save our nature and our earth then we must
change our lifestyle, we must adopt simple lifestyle and we should abandon cozy
and VIP style.
Among humans very few are truly intelligent and competent to
survive according to the law of nature, and all other are just crowd, just as
all other animals are in comparisons of us.
All the problems in the world today are due to over
population, our population is not over population but it is population big
bang.
Environment change, season change, shortage of everything
and wars and conflicts, global warming and unemployment and crowds and rush in
transport and hospitals all is due to population.
If we humans want to consume the apple earth for longer time
then we must take measures to limit the population on the basis of intelligence
tests and body health parameters, we should not allow lower intelligence
quotient people to produce offspring anymore from now onward.
Today humanity has entrapped in a vicious circle of trade and business, there is competition in the businesses and among the businessmen, therefore to survive in competition they are making innovations in their products, even they are shaping our life style for this they are using metals and materials for their small benefits but in this process they are consuming the metals to the extent of extinction.
Life style is our private matter, we should choose it, nor the other peoples who are imposing lifestyle on us for their profits.
Today modern humanity has adopted very fatal lifestyle, this modern VIP life style is not only destroying our environment but it can eradicate life from the cosmos.

(1) Our Exposure or Proximity or closeness with a Good Things makes us good and
Our Separation or Isolation from good things makes us ignorant and unaware about goodness.
(2) Our Proximity or closeness/vicinity with a Bad Things makes us Bad and
Our Separation or Isolation from Bad things makes us good and protected.
If you are in a good company, then you will become good, and
If you are in a Bad/ Evil company, then you will become bad.
There is a Hadith/ Saying of Prophet PBUH, that " If a person has a Friend
Who is a Perfume seller, then some Good Smell will come from you, even if you did not purchase some perfume from him.
And if a person has a Black smith as his friend, a blot or black mark will come on his
cloths, even if he did not touched the fire, or coal.
Difference between a Muslim and a non Muslim (Religious non muslim).
It is my observation, that,

But those muslims who becomes wealthier, thinks that this wealth and prosperity is the result of our hard work and earnings and there is no part of the god in it.
The wealth brings more activities and less time along with it, as the Muslims becomes wealthier, his activities increases and he finds less time to study Islam, therefore he goes away from the real teachings of the religion and finds the Daily 5 times prayers annoying and interfering in his business activities.
The wealthy muslims gets less islamic knowledge and also his children too gets less religious exposures and a vicious circle makes them non religious.
As the wealth and prosperity brings more activities and business along with increased wealth and more business allows less time for studying Islam, and thinking about it's details.
Therefore wealthy Muslims gets less exposure to their best and clean religion and less exposure makes the wealthy muslim unaware about the real virtues of the Islam.
The wealthy muslims who have less islamic exposure due to less time to study Islam becomes less religious and even they become irreligious and atheists, due to unawareness about the details of Islam.
Then the God punishes the Muslims in this world and keeps the non muslims in normal conditions to test all humans.
The separation from an evil religion makes the non muslims good persons and more exposure to the evil religions makes them irreligious and atheists..

It is my observation that , The Muslim Kafir or the Muslim atheist or the Ex- Muslim as they are known are more worst than the Original non Muslims, the Muslim kafirs are worst people in their behavior and towards other people.
